2021-2025
The Methow Valley’s landscape and residents are richly diverse. In collaboration with many partners, FAM aims to work with residents and neighborhoods to help identify risks, address concerns and needs, and help apply strategies by connecting residents with appropriate people, tools, programs, and technical & scientific information.
Between 2021 and 2025, the WRCD served as Fire Adapted Methow’s fiscal sponsor, providing contract procurement and management support, strategic consultation, and liaison to community fire adaptation practitioners and state and federal partners throughout Washington. In 2025, FAM exited the fiscal sponsorship agreement and now functions as its own independent nonprofit organization.
