Fire Adapted Methow (FAM)

2021-Present

The Methow Valley’s landscape and residents are richly diverse. The characteristics of the places where we live, the people there, and how the land is used shape our needs and strategies for living with fire. In collaboration with many partners, FAM aims to work with residents and neighborhoods to help identify risks, address concerns and needs, and help apply strategies by connecting you with appropriate people, tools, programs, and technical & scientific information.

Since 2021, the WRC&D has served as Fire Adapted Methow’s fiscal sponsor, providing contract procurement and management support, strategic consultation, and liaison to community fire adaptation practitioners and state and federal partners throughout Washington.
